Our Therapists

Liz Davila-Ferrall, LLMSW

Psychotherapist

She/Her/Hers

As a therapist I work to create a safe space where individuals feel heard, supported, and guided. I offer psychotherapy to help people learn how to identify their emotions and respond to them in a healthy way instead of being overwhelmed by them. We work together to figure out what is causing stress and how to cope. We all want less stress, to feel hope, have a support system, and feel our life is worth living– I can help you build that.

I practice various evidence-based interventions, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and work with patients to identify what will work best.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. My professional journey began in education, where I worked as a classroom teacher, researcher, and preschool director. My transition into the mental health field began in an administrative role in a substance abuse setting, where I gained insight into both addiction treatment and program management. Currently, I work as a therapist in a partial hospitalization setting, facilitating process groups and providing individual therapy for those facing mental health challenges that have stopped them from functioning with daily life.

Clinical Director and Therapist

They/Them/Theirs and He/Him/His

My training has been extensive and occurred within many different mental health treatment environments. I attended the University of Michigan for my bachelors in Psychology and Master of Social Work. My first professional experience working with individuals who struggled with their mental health also focused on how chronic health conditions, specifically HIV, can affect mental health. I later went on to work in medical Social Work, as the administrator and a therapist for a large group practice, work for a Partial Hospitalization Program, lead a large non-profit Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, and currently practice as a school social worker. Additionally, I am working on my Doctor of Social Work Degree to become an advanced practice social worker and become even better as a Clinician.

I have a variety of techniques and skills that I hand tailor to each individual client. I utilize techniques and skills from therapy styles like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Ego-State Therapy, Psychodynamics and relational therapies, and the Ziggurat Model. I aspire to help people better understand what it is they struggle with, ways to cope with or alleviate their stressors, and ultimately aid them in building a life that feels worth living.

I have ample supervisory experience in both acute and outpatient mental health practice environments, and am passionate about training new social workers and improving social work practice for consumers. I believe the social work code of ethics, established best practices, research, and evidence based practices are crucial elements to becoming a skilled clinical social worker. I do my best to help supervises develop their clinical mind, pursue their clinical interests, develop an understanding of how our ethical code impacts daily practice, and how to help clients effect meaningful change in their lives.
