She/Her/Hers

As a therapist I work to create a safe space where individuals feel heard, supported, and guided. I offer psychotherapy to help people learn how to identify their emotions and respond to them in a healthy way instead of being overwhelmed by them. We work together to figure out what is causing stress and how to cope. We all want less stress, to feel hope, have a support system, and feel our life is worth living– I can help you build that.

I practice various evidence-based interventions, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and work with patients to identify what will work best.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and my master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. My professional journey began in education, where I worked as a classroom teacher, researcher, and preschool director. My transition into the mental health field began in an administrative role in a substance abuse setting, where I gained insight into both addiction treatment and program management. Currently, I work as a therapist in a partial hospitalization setting, facilitating process groups and providing individual therapy for those facing mental health challenges that have stopped them from functioning with daily life.

Hello! As a clinical therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can open up, process your thoughts and emotions, and learn practical skills to help you move forward in life. I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion and empathy, and I strive to empower individuals to navigate these challenges with confidence and resilience.

As a former recreational therapist, I enjoy incorporating hands-on, experiential therapy techniques when possible. I believe in the power of mindfulness and creative approaches to promote healing and spark moments of joy. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength while exploring new ways to approach life’s difficulties.

With experience working in a partial hospitalization setting, I’ve facilitated skills-based groups and am excited to share these tools with you to build coping strategies, enhance emotional regulation, and foster growth. I’m here to provide support, encouragement, and the understanding you need to overcome obstacles and thrive.

If you’re ready to work together and take the next step toward personal growth, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

Clinical Director and Therapist

They/Them/Theirs and He/Him/His

My training has been extensive and occurred within many different psychiatric treatment environments. I attended the University of Michigan for my bachelors in Psychology and Master of Social Work. My first professional experience working with people on their mental health also focused on how chronic health conditions, specifically HIV, affect mental health. I later went on to work in medical social work, as the practice administrator and a therapist for a large group practice, an individual and group therapist in a Partial Hospitalization Program, Clinic Director of a large non-profit Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, and currently practice as a school social worker in addition to practicing through Connecting Heals, LLC. Additionally, I am working on my Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Degree which is helping me continue to develop as a clinical social worker and ultimately become an “advanced practice clinical social worker.”

I have a variety of techniques and skills that I hand tailor to each individual client. I utilize techniques and skills from therapy styles like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Ego-State Therapy, Psychodynamics, Relational therapies, Attachment theory, and the Ziggurat Model. I aspire to help people better understand what it is they struggle with, ways to cope with or alleviate their stressors, and ultimately aid them in building the life they want and “a life that feels worth living.”

I have ample supervisory experience in both acute and outpatient mental health practice environments, and am passionate about training new social workers and improving social work practice for consumers. I believe the social work code of ethics, established best practices, research, and evidence based practice are crucial elements to developing your skills as a clinical social worker. I help supervisees develop their clinical mind, pursue their clinical interests, improve their understanding of our ethical code, and how to help clients effect meaningful change in their lives.
