Hi, I’m Jocelyn. If you're someone who works hard to take care of everyone around you but struggles to extend that same care to yourself, I get it. That's exactly who I do my best work with.

I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and the exhausting work of putting everyone else first. My approach is collaborative and unhurried. I pull from CBT, DBT, and EMDR, but what I'm really focused on are the skills that tend to get overlooked: setting boundaries, building self-compassion, creating routines that stick, and learning to slow down without feeling guilty about it. I don't hand you answers. I help you find your own.

My path into this work began at 16. Working as a hospitality aide in a nursing home, I realized that small things like a refilled water glass or actually listening could mean a lot to someone who felt invisible. Today, my goal is to help people find the strength to change their own lives.

Outside of sessions, I'm the kind of person who chooses the hardest hike on vacation, volunteers at a horse rescue, and can go from Hannah Montana to 90s rock to Chappell Roan in the same playlist. I grew up in a small town, graduated with 48 people in my class, and will tell you I'm a Hufflepuff without a hint of irony.

Therapy Modalties

Honestly, you do not need to show up knowing what EMDR is or whether DBT is the right fit for you. That is my job. I have trained in a handful of evidence-based approaches, and I use whichever one actually fits what you are bringing into the room. If something is not working, we switch. Simple as that.

What I can tell you is that I am not going to hand you a worksheet and call it therapy. The tools I use are meant to help you understand yourself better, build skills that actually stick, and move at a pace that does not leave you feeling wrecked between sessions.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess and integrate traumatic memories that are stored in a stuck way. This approach works directly with the brain's natural processing system to reduce the emotional charge of trauma. It allows healing to happen efficiently without requiring clients to verbally narrate every painful detail.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach built on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, clients learn practical, transferable skills to respond to situations in healthier ways.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based therapy that balances acceptance with change to help individuals navigate intense emotional experiences. It directly teaches practical coping skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
